Worship in the time of COVID
Friends, The session met last night and has made the decision that it would be best if worship continues online rather than in person until the end of April. We will keep an eye on our current situation and reevaluate as needed. We all agreed that we are saddened by the fact that we cannot worship together in person, but we also understand the need to do whatever possible to keep you all safe and healthy. Until it is safe to worship together again, I invite you to continue to worship with us here, on our Facebook page, as well as on our church website. We will have our Holy Week worship services, including Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter online. I encourage everyone who is able to have bread and juice, or a fitting substitution, available on April 5 and on Maundy Thursday so we can celebrate communion together online. In addition, if you or anyone you know would prefer, I am more than willing to bring home communion to you. We know this is a new situation for all of us, but we also know we can continue to be the church in the world, even if we can't physically be together. In the meantime, I will still be working and available for any needs you may have. Lastly, we understand this time comes with financial difficulties for some, however, for those who are able, we encourage you to consider mailing in or dropping off your tithes and offerings (an offering plate is located in the back of the sanctuary) to help keep the church going strong. I know the day we can return to the sanctuary will be a celebration in itself, until then, I pray that everyone is safe and healthy. Blessings in Christ, Pastor Kathy P.S. stay tuned for continued resources for our children, as well as ways to celebrate Palm Sunday together.
